Looks sturdy but time will tell. Probably not suitable for large boot sizes as might not be wide enough. My husband screwed it to a plank rather than to the ground so it can be moved. Just stand on the plank to keep it still while cleaning the other foot. Does the job.

Needs mounting on wooden base. Otherwise slips and slides when using. No good trying to mount on concrete step.

I bought two of these (one for each door) to clean the excess mud off my boots from dogs walks. They work well however I did attach them to the floor. They would just move otherwise and then wouldn’t be very effective

I was surprised at the gauge of the metal and consequently the weight of this boot cleaner when I received it. It clearly is “heavy duty” as described. I bolted mine to a piece of spare decking and attached a hanging hook. This allows outside use but then gives the flexibility to hang it up under cover -thus increasing it longevity. Left out in the weather I’m sure the wood would eventually swell and crack -this way it stays dry. I left a good six inches of decking either side to enable the spare foot to hold it all in place whilst cleaning the boot on the other foot. A good piece of kit.

Fixed it on a piece of wood to hold it extra firmly. Looks good. Early days yet to rate durability.
